A world in chaos

It's easy to fall victim to the media, social or otherwise, to family disagreements, co-workers or friends who think differently than you do. But, what if... we just went back to scripture? What if we choose to trust God's plan? What if we choose not to protest or be violent or hateful or place blame? What if?... I have voted conservatively in every presidential election for 20 years, and I don't see that changing, ever. But that doesn't mean I hate my liberal friends or family and many of them are. I think it's sad what's going on in our world right now. Do I love Trump? No, I think he's a giant turd most of the time, but he's a smart turd and he's done a lot of good for our country. But, what if Biden wins? What then? Well, our lives will go on... we'll still spend time with family, go to the grocery, watch movies with friends. Things will change, sure and maybe not how we want them to but God is, always has been, and always will be in control.

I think it's shameful that people are messing with ballots and you're a fool if you don't think they are. I think it's shameful that people want their way SO badly, they'll sacrifice their integrity to get it. It's shameful. WWJD was HUGE when I was in high school, what the heck happened? Can we bring that back??? PLEASE. We don't get our way, so we cheat? Not saying the red states won, but wouldn't it be nice to know the truth?

Well, here's the Truth, God sees it all. He hears our thoughts, sees our posts, feels your feelings and loves us anyway. But shouldn't we strive to love our neighbor? Even if he votes differently? Shouldn't we get back to WWJD?

I tell D all the time, if you do WWJD you'll always make the right choice. Once he said, yes, you and God. I said no, just God, if you do that, it'll be right for both of us. And that is the Truth.

He is the Truth. He is the LIFE. He is the WAY. There isn't anything our angry post will change on social media, you may feel better for a second, but it won't affect real change. Will anything? Yes, the way you respond. We can't help what happens but we can help how we respond. We can CHOOSE to trust God. We can CHOOSE to find joy. We can CHOOSE to not watch TV or read the election updates. I usually LOVE watching, I find it FASCINATING the time people put in to understanding the stats and whatnot, my brain doesn't work that way so I extra appreciate those who do, but I shut it off two days ago and won't look again. I can't. I won't let it steal my joy because I know that no matter who wins, GOD IS IN CONTROL. And I pray that we can ALL find peace in that, no matter how we feel.

The end is written ya'll, He has already WON! Find comfort in that, take pleasure in knowing that the God of the Universe went to bat for us and won. I think that's pretty darn cool.
