Do you know what a limiting belief is?

As a coach in our network we often talk about 'limiting beliefs.' A limiting belief is a thought you've placed in your brain that keeps you from living the life you want. So, what are your limiting beliefs?
A few I used to have; I'd rather be fat than eat healthy. Eating healthy is expensive. I've done too much bad to deserve a good relationship. I had a hysterectomy because of my past. I'll never build the business I want because I do all the wrong things. Why would anyone want to work with me, I have nothing to offer. I'm not smart enough, I don't have enough time, I'm too loud.
Any of these sound familiar? What are your limiting beliefs? How can you overcome them? Do you read personal development or listen to uplifting podcasts? If not, I highly recommend you find someone that inspires you. Trent Shelton, Joyce Meyer, Rachel Hollis, Brene Brown, Joel Osteen, Josh Coats, Victoria Osteen, Tony Robbins are a few of my go-to's. Listen to people who are living how you want to live, who share your values, who inspire you to go forth in your fear. Fear is a liar, it is the devil placing limiting beliefs in your mind because he's a dick and doesn't want you living to your full potential.
Josh Coats says that as long as there are hospitals to be built, sick kids in our world and homeless veterans living on our streets, it is our MORAL AND ETHICAL OBLIGATION to be successful. So many times I hear people talk about idolizing money and as Christians we're supposed to live humbly... well, living humbly and poor are two different concepts completely. Never one time in the bible, and I read it last year, does it say that living poor is a right of passage or something to aspire to. NO, it says to take care of our widows and orphans... how are we to do that if we can't take care of ourselves? Well, we can't. So face those fears and limiting beliefs, acknowledge them, face them then do everything in your power to remind yourself to WHOM you belong. Get your bible out and read WHO the Bible says you are, worthy, strong, redeemed, able and GO fight for that purpose God has placed in your life. It is NEVER too late.
When you see successful people in the world, they're not lucky, they worked their ass off and did the hard things most people aren't willing to do. It's easy to quit when it gets hard, it takes a strong, faith-filled person to trust God's plan and go forward in faith. You can. Galatians 6:9 says; 'in time you will reap harvest if you stay in faith and do not give up.' Don't put a time limit on God, maybe He's waiting for you to step up and overcome your limiting beliefs or maybe He's preparing someone you'll meet who isn't quite ready... either way, wouldn't it be a shame if you tried to do life in your way on your time frame and missed God's blessing? I can't imagine anything worse than that.
