Do you want your kids to be quitters?

No, I am not a mom, but I will be one day. I am an auntie, I have 20 nieces and nephews between my man and me... what if one of them came to me one day after working towards her dreams and she said, hey auntie, I gave it a shot and I really feel like God's called me here, but maybe I heard wrong. I'm going to quit, what do I say? ... oh, ok, go ahead and give up on your dreams, all good.... would you tell your daughter, son, niece or nephew to quit when they're called? Mmmmmm, doubtful.. so why do you quit when it gets hard?

Why do you quit on your dreams of building a business? Why do you quit on your health and fitness goals? Why do you quit when your relationships get tough? Why do you quit? Who's watching you quit? What kind of example are you setting? Ok, maybe you're not quitting, but maybe you're not trying at all.... is there Reeeeeally a difference if you're being honest? There's not, let's be clear.

I wanted to quit band, mom said no. You committed and I bought the damn flute, you're going to play it. I wanted to quit dance, gram said no, you committed, you'll finish the year. I wanted to go an extra year to college, gram said, no, you'll graduate in four. I listened and I learned.

Well, ok then. I have people in my life that will not let me quit... do you? STOP GIVING UP. Yes, it's hard, SO FREAKING WHAT? I learned commitment and discipline in those moments, I didn't like it at the time, I wanted to get my way. But my mom and grandma LOVED me enough then to NOT LET ME QUIT. I imagine if they had, I'd have quit on more things in my life.

I'm building a network marketing business, it gets lonely, no one is here to push me or check-in, I am responsible for doing the things each day I need to get done. Quite honestly before I started this blog, I wanted to quit and go outside so I can work in the sunshine... but I knew I needed to post so I sat my ass down, listened to some inspo and here I am. Ya see, I am responsible for my success. God placed a burden on my heart to help you see your worth and I'll be damned if I'm going to let Him down.

It is my MISSION in life to build a team of women, not for the accolades but because it means we're growing together, pushing outside comfort zones and building a business for the Kingdom. It means that lil old me can use scripture to inspire and my story and my mess to show others that your past doesn't matter, yesterday doesn't matter, but this day, you CAN CHOOSE BETTER.

We are our choices, we wear what we eat, what we do, how we live on our outside. I want to wear confidence, faith, peace, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, self-control like a BADGE OF FREAKING HONOR. Because the SAME POWER that raised JESUS from the DEAD LIVES IN ME YA'LL AND IT LIVES IN YOU TOO!

SO STOP FREAKING QUITTING BECAUSE IT'S HARD. He tell us that 'in this life THERE WILLLLLLLL BE TROUBLE.' NOT MAYBE, NOT COULD BE, THERE WILLLL BE! THEN, WAIT FOR IT... HE SAYS, BUT TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD!' You have EVERYTHING you need inside you to live the life you want to live, but it's UP TO YOU my love to use those fruits of the Spirit and only YOU CAN DECIDE to act today. So, will you show your kid what quitting looks like? Or will you fight like the badass you are to live the life of abundance in Jesus!? I'll be over here hustling either way because my conviction is bigger than my excuses, is yours? I hope so, for your sake and the sake of those watching to see what you'll do.
