I'd be a terrible life coach.

I have little room for excuses in my life. I have been through some pretty heavy shit, and I still manage to get up every day, and prayerfully move through some of the toughest times in my life. I choose, most days, to get up at 4am and work through prayer and focusing on Jesus, to get to where I think He wants me to be. I just do the things. I read The 5 Second Rule in 2017 and Mel talked about how we have five seconds to GO, we countdown from 5-4-3-2-1, say GO and GO do the things you've been procrastinating on.
Many times in my life, I've used this tactic. Today I just do the things, I know every day I'm going to exercise, do my personal development and work my business. I KNOW every day that I'm going to read scripture, choose joy and pray as much as I can, even though I fall short on that last one quite often.
It's not that I don't have compassion, I actually have a ton. I'm compassionate to those who put forth the effort to keep going. I am compassionate to those who fight and struggle and push when they'd rather run or cry or quit. I've been there. I'm still there somedays. Grace > grind is my new motto and has been since I read Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur. But what that doesn't offer is excuses on why we can fail at life or just not do the things we need to.
We MUST CHOOSE action. We must CHOOSE to step out in faith to do the things God has called us to and we can't do that without doing hard things.
I am NOT an enabler. I've watched too much of that happen in my family and it's been done to me. So, I hold myself to a pretty high standard along with those who work with me. We all face struggles; my job is to help you determine how to keep them from holding you back so you can live your healthiest life focused on God.
It's easy to make excuses. It's easy to let your dreams and goals slide while you take care of the family, raise kids, work and do life. But I won't let you sit on the sidelines of your life. I will push and encourage you, but I won't coddle you. I will lovingly tell you how worthy you are to keep fighting, that your family and friends need you.
I may be a terrible life coach but I am your biggest cheerleader. I want to see you succeed. I want you to know how capable and worthy you are to reach any and all goals you've set. It isn't easy. Life isn't easy. But joy comes in the morning my friend and I'm tellin ya, that if you keep up the good fight and stay in faith, you'll be slaying your goals in no time. Be you. Do you. For you. God's got us all, in the palm of His mighty hand.
