Who's holding you back?

For YEARS I held back living my best life because I was TERRIFIED of being judged, possibly failing, looking like an idiot and having people questions me when I, quite honestly, didn't have the answers to they questions they asked.

Why have I not got a job the past 18 months when I was struggling financially? OBEY is the word God kept putting on my heart. O.B.E.Y. I, like many women, am a reform(ing) control freak... I will always be a work in progress but God's grace is sufficient TODAY and EVERY DAY. Thank GOD.

So, who are you allowing to control your life that's holding you back? Maybe it's you. Maybe your fear, maybe your spouse or best friend or boss. Maybe your income, or your family. No matter who it is, I want to challenge you to step out in faith and OBEY what God places on your heart.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a serious book nerd, every morning I read personal development to help me be better and then I read the bible... and the reoccurring theme is that, everything you want and feel called to, is on the other side of your fear. And the good Lord, who continues, day after day, to put that burden on you is going to continue until you either obey or suffer through life not truly living your purpose. And OH, what a SHAME that would be.

I've learned first hand how hard building a business is, I'm doing it for the THIRD time in my 16 years out of college, the difference now is I'm letting God lead and guess what, I'm growing, my business is growing, my confidence is growing, my income is growing, my team is growing, my challengers are growing... GROWTH is painful, sometimes, ok, most times, it's very painful... most people quit because it's hard. But God didn't promise us easy, in fact, He promised us hard. He said, in this world you WILL have trouble... but keep reading, 'but Take heart! I have OVERCOME the world.'

You've quit already, either a relationship, your dream, a health plan, because it's hard... we've all been there. But it is never too late and you are NEVER too old to start again, to refocus, regroup, and PRAY for guidance, for wisdom and knowledge and understanding.

What you ALLOW will continue. So, what who will you allow to rule your life? Your dreams? Who do you need to have a serious sit down with and say, hey, listen, you may not understand this, I may not understand this, but God is CALLING ME and as Isaiah says, HERE I AM LORD, SEND ME! This should be your only thought when you're called. He will provide understanding for those who doubt you, even if it's yourself. He will provide the financial resources, the child-care, the wisdom, IF YOU PRAY FOR IT. ASK AND HE WILL!

Stop putting limits on God, Let Him Lead your life out of your comfort zone. I don't care what the thing is, if you feel called, FREAKING GO! Let Him show you what He can do!

If He can get my dad sober and move the love of my life in next door after praying for these things for years, I KNOW He will answer your prayers too. Don't just Believe He will, KNOW IT. KNOW IT IN THE PIT OF EVERYTHING YOU ARE. Go girl, go big. Live on FIRE for God, let Him lead you to the path you're meant to go. 'In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9. Read it, learn it, live it! In Jesus name! AMEN!
